Who was the Headless Horseman? Oh, it's Rusty!
Monday night we got together with Becky (Rusty's sister) and her family to carve pumpkins. It was so much fun! The Mayhew's grilled hamburgers and we were all in our P.J's to carve. It was supposed to be the Mayhew boys vs Mayhew girls vs the Wilkins awesome duo! It kinda ended up being Rusty by himself as I was taking pictures. He did a great job though. He tried doing the headless horseman, but if you notice the fingers gave it away! Pretty good though, babe! Then, after we were done, we turned off the lights and let the shadows shine on the walls. The kids loved it! Rusty and I don't always get around to having Family Home Evening since it's just the two of us and he has usually been gone on Monday nights. It was fun to take some time out for the holiday, and spend it with him and family. I truly believe that Family Home Evening is what Heavenly Father has asked us to do. He knows how important the family is to His plan. It is amazing the peace that comes from sharing joy with our families! Even if it is a little time for us to be silly!

Rusty, your OLD!!!

Rusty always calls me "Old Lady", I guess since I am three months older, that gives him the right?!?!?! Well, on October 15th, Rusty joined me in being halfway through our 20's! We had a pot-luck scheduled for his team at WFG, so I took the opportunity to surprise him with a golf cake (his newest passion). We met at Freestone park and I ended up being 30 minutes late. As I usually do for potlucks, I made a big dish of Baked Ziti. As I was bringing it out of the oven, I caught the corner of the dish on the top of the oven and it flipped back into the oven. By that I mean that the whole Ziti ended up in the bottom of the oven that was at 400 degrees! Yes, I am sure it was a pretty as you are imagining! That made me late picking up the cake. I was a horrible wife that week. I was grateful that Shelli could make it at last minute considering that I had procrastinated ordering one. I love the little flags! Toothpicks come in handy for so many things! It was a preview of one of his birthday gifts, a new set of golf clubs, which he gets to go use for the first time tomorrow! What I am really waiting for is the drop of our insurance rates!!! I guess to be cheesy, I do have to say that I plan on seeing a lot of these come and go! We better be 90 together still making eachother laugh! Glad you could join the ranks, "OLD MAN!"

Tragdor!!
This post is going way back! This was a couple years ago for our friend Devon's birthday. Ironically, we were supposed to surprise him with a morning trip, but we ended up cleaning the boat out. Oh well, we still had a ton of fun! This is his boat that we are grateful to use to wakeboard! I know I've spent a lot of time behind it, and Rusty even more so. Rusty really wanted something about wakeboarding and this is the only pic I have available to put on here. One of our favorite things to do is to wakeboard! Who care's if your good right? Rusty is pretty good, me, well... not so much! I can stay up, but no cool tricks as of yet. It's actually one of my goals before I die!! Tragdor (don't know if I am spelling it correctly? Devon?) is the name of the boat. I will have to post later with the story. Rusty knows it, but at the moment is passed out asleep. As important as I may think it is, I don't think HE will find it so right now. He actually just moved and I asked him why it's Tragdor and his response: "He's the burnanator!" Whatever that means?!?!?! From left to right it's Rusty and I, Devon and Nicole Whiting, and Trey and Lauren Whiting! The three couples have had a lot of fun together. Between their growning families, and the distance between us, we don't see a lot of them, but WE LOVE YOU GUYS!
What's a Blog?
Hello! I have had so many people tell me "you should start a blog, they are so fun!" My response: "A what?" So, since it seemed to be that I was the only one not doing it, I now have a blog! After looking at a bunch of them, I realize that ours isn't as cute as the ones with little ones running around! I'm not saying that Rusty isn't the cuttest 25 year old little boy that you've ever seen, but we don't have any little Rusty's or Ashley's running around. So, until then, you get to read about us! Hope you enjoy our memories!
